The award was given for building community partnerships. The school district and the township supervisors have partnered in many projects and activities since 2006. The Governor’s award is recognizing their work together to make the school district and the community a better place.
Some of the activities and projects include: nature trail, the building project were community businesses donated materials and supplies to offset the cost of construction, the computer classes for senior citizens, the safety programs with the District Attorney, the development of the state of the art safety and emergency planning for the township, school district and the community.
